POLICIES AS OF APRIL 2009:

Payment
Payment for services are due in full prior to the beginning of services or on the first day service begins. You may pay with check or cash. Paypal is also available for payments from your credit card, debit card, bank account, or Paypal account. You may leave tips in pet sitters name or cash or include them in your payment where they will get transferred to the pet sitter. If request is made to extend service and has been confirmed, services will be provided at the same rate and full payment is due upon return.

Surcharge
A late fee of $10 will be applied to all payments not received within 5 days of the completion of service. $30 will be assessed for each returned check in addition to bank fees.

Last-Minute Reservations
A last-minute surcharge of $25 will apply for service requests of less than 3 days prior to the beginning of service.

Cancellation
A cancellation fee in the amount equal to one (1) visit but no more than $25 will be charged for last-minute service order cancellations with less than 24 hours notice. For a cancellation during Holidays the cancellation fee is the holiday rate for one visit (time and a half) but not less than $25. After cancellation fees have been applied, any remaining balance will be applied towards future pet sitting visits only. No refunds will be given.

Emergency Vet Care
In the event that a pet becomes ill or has other medical emergency and the specified vet is unavailable, pet will be taken to Cobb or Cherokee Emergency Veterinary Clinic. All reasonable attempts will be made to contact the pet owner in case of emergency. Client is to provide reimbursement for all fees and costs relating to veterinarian care during their absence as well as an Emergency medical transport fee of $50 per hour.

Holidays
Holiday charges will be 1.5 times regular rate per visit for the following holidays:

• New Year's Day
• Easter
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Eve
• Christmas Day
• New Year's Eve

Keys
Keys are required at the time of the initial consultation. One set is for your primary pet sitter and a second set is for the backup sitter or in case of emergency. Our clients typically have us keep their keys on file so we are ready for future service. If the key is returned, there will be a charge of $10 to your account for future service. For gated communities, a gate card or code access is required.

If requested that a key be left outside house or apartment, the client is responsible for any incident that may occur if key is found and home is entered by someone unauthorized. Also, you may request key copies be made in the future in the event that you lose your house keys. For security purposes, keys are kept in lock boxes and labeled such that they cannot be identified with your address. In situations where a locksmith is necessary for us to gain entry to care for your pets, $85 will be charged in addition to locksmith's fees. If client moves or for any reason requests to terminate future services, client may request return of keys at no charge. If client is unreachable for a period of time, keys may be securely recycled.

Quality Care Standard
A minimum of one visit per day is required to ensure the health and safety of your pets and to keep watch on your home while you are away. We do not provide less than quality care for your home or pets. Also, we will not be held liable for damages or injuries unless it is proven that the damage or injury was a direct result of negligence on our part. For this reason, we do not share visits with third parties in your absence which includes anyone outside of our pet sitting team, any nonresident of your home, and any non-family member.

Backup Sitter
In the event of pet sitter injury or illness or inclement weather or other emergency circumstances where duties are unable to be performed by your primary pet sitter, a backup sitter will take over duties as outline in your service agreement.
