Qualities and Skills of a Professional Pet Sitter

• Resides within the Service Area (see Services for availability).
• Has completed college degree or equivalent experience.
• Has at least three non-family personal references.
• Is able to pass a thorough background check.
• Has access to a working vehicle including auto insurance.
• Has access to internet and email as scheduling is online.
• Has sufficient business liability insurance.
• Has knowledge and experience in caring for pets.
• Is competent dealing with cats and dogs.
• Is able to walk dogs of various breeds and sizes and in all kinds of weather.
• Displays a positive attitude.
• Follows detailed instructions.
• Is courteous and professional.
• Is comfortable giving oral medications to cats and dogs.
• Is eager to learn about pets of all kinds and administering medications.
• Is willing to participate in continued education and training.
• Has certification in pet CPR and first aid.
• Is available to work a flexible schedule seven days a week including some holidays.
• Is able to complete pet sitting schedule independently and in a timely manner.
• Is reliable and honest, observing all federal, state and local laws.
• Has access to cell phone and keeps it charged.
• Answers calls and emails promptly.

LOVE BUGS Pet Sitter Referral bonus

Any pet sitter with Love Bugs may refer someone who is not currently contracted with Love Bugs to sign up. With each referred person who signs a contract with Love Bugs and completes 40 visits within the first three months of the contract, a $100 bonus goes to the referring pet sitter.
